About Buzzsaw

The Legacy of The Buzzsaw

Nestled in the heart of Orange County New York, Buzzsaw Cannabis Company stands as a testament to our rich family heritage and enduring legacy. Our story dates back to 1919, rooted in the resilient spirit of our grandfather, prize-fighter and bootlegger, Harry “The Buzzsaw” White.

Harry White, a celebrated prizefighter from Niagara Falls, made his mark in the ring with nimble feet and lightning-fast hands. His first fight in 1919 set the stage for a career that would soon evolve into something much larger. As the 1920s roared on, Harry took his winnings and ventured into the world of bootlegging, operating speakeasies, and leading an Irish gang during Prohibition—a time that, like the cannabis prohibition, proved to be a abject failure, forcing law-abiding citizens to break the law. His ingenuity and tenacity became the backbone of our family’s entrepreneurial spirit.

Tragedy and Triumph

In October 1934, Harry’s life was tragically cut short by a rival gang. Despite this, his legacy endured, and his story became a symbol of resilience and determination for our family. Buzzsaw Cannabis Company honors Harry’s memory by continuing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence.

At Buzzsaw Cannabis Company, our dispensary embodies the essence of the farming community that has established Orange County as a leader in agriculture. As you step into our dispensary, you’ll be greeted by a piece of history—a beautifully restored 1941 Chevy farm truck proudly displayed on our sales floor, symbolizing our deep-rooted connection to the land and its heritage.
